Ghost Film Series Scheduled for ImaginOn, UNC Charlotte Center City

The College of Arts + Architecture and Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will partner to present “Spirits Rise: A Ghost Film Series.” It is inspired by two books by Department of Theatre professor Mark Pizzato “Ghosts of Theatre and Cinema in the Brain” and “Inner Theatres of Good and Evil: The Mind’s Staging of Gods, Angels and Devils.”

The film series will open at ImaginOn: The Joe and Joan Martin Center at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, with a screening of “The Innocents” (1961), starring Deborah Kerr.

For more than three decades, members of the University and the greater Charlotte communities have flocked to UNC Charlotte’s annual International Festival to sample cultural traditions and fabulous foods from around the world. Now in its 37th year, this year’s International Festival will take place from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, Sept. 29, in and around the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.
